Hi, I’m Lisi—illustrator, stylist, and the creative behind A Barefoot Stylist. The name reflects how I work: grounded, free, and always led by beauty. I’ve always loved walking barefoot, especially in the sand, and that feeling of ease and connection carries into everything I create.

I illustrate digitally on my iPad—usually from my hammock, with the ocean nearby. Working this way gives me the freedom to explore and shift between different illustration styles, depending on the mood or story. From soft watercolor and gouache textures to bold linework and layered mixed media, my work is flexible, expressive, and always rooted in feeling.

Before illustration, I spent over 20 years as a photo stylist and art director, creating for beauty, fashion, and food brands. From drawing on my childhood walls to styling a nail polish music note for a Taylor Swift feature in People Magazine, storytelling has always been at the heart of my work. Now, I use illustration to share that beauty in a new way.
